St. Laurent

St. Laurent (or Sankt-Laurent) is a variety native to Austria, where it has been cultivated since the 19th century and is planted throughout Central Europe, most commonly Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Wines made from Saint Laurent are typically aromatic, deeply colored, and velvety, with fine tannins and flavors of sour cherry. It is often likened to a more intense version of Pinot Noir, to which it may be related.
