Roussanne

Roussanne is a white grape variety that likely hails from France’s Rhône Valley, where it is still widely planted today. The grape derives its name from the word russet, which is the hue it takes on when ripe. Roussanne is known for producing wines with floral-driven flavors of honey, pear, and stone fruit. In the Northern Rhône, the grape is often blended with Marsanne, and today, plantings can be found in California, Washington, Australia, South Africa, and beyond.
