Falanghina

Falanghina is an ancient white variety grown primarily in the Campania region of southern Italy. It is thought to be the variety responsible for Falernian, the most celebrated wine of Roman antiquity. It is an aromatic grape with hints of citrus peel, orange blossom, and even pine on the nose. It is moderately acidic with green apple, stone fruit, and almond as common flavor descriptors. The grapes are often grown along the coastline and the wines pair wonderfully with seafood.
