Each Monday, we publish a roundup of the most compelling flash sales offers for the coming week. Not every bottle will float your boat, or suit your budget. But all of our choices represent genuine value and hard-to-match opportunities in their own categories.

This week you’ll find great wines that you might not immediately associate with its region, like a Tocai Friulano-based bottling from Napa-based Massican and a Cabernet Franc from a top enologist in Argentina. Late in the week, don’t miss an excellent Brunello di Montalcino from Conti Costanti and a 2010 sparkling wine from Carneros that, uniquely, was aged on the lees for over a decade.

Keep an eye out each week for our top picks.

bottle of 2016 Château Pontet-Canet Pauillac

2016 Château Pontet-Canet Pauillac, $179.95

Why we chose it: One of the most highly-regarded estates in Bordeaux, Château Pontet-Canet produced exceptional wines under the leadership of Jean-Michel Comme from 1989 until 2020. This vintage, which earned a perfect 100 point score from Wine Enthusiast, is a particular standout, rewarding the estate’s emphasis on biodynamic farming and sustainable production. It’s enjoyable now but will certainly benefit from some additional aging should you choose that route.

Where to get it: Wine Express, available June 6, 2022 at 9 a.m. ET until sold out

bottle of 2021 Massican Annia White Wine

2021 Massican Annia White Wine, $35

Why we chose it: Hailing from Napa Valley, but defying all your expectations for a white wine from that region, this bottle is made from Tocai Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and some Chardonnay. Previous vintages from star winemaker Dan Petroski have been beloved by critics for their fruit character, textural richness, and complexity.

bottle of 2019 Dominus Estate Napanook Cabernet Sauvignon

2019 Dominus Estate Napanook Cabernet Sauvignon, $84.95

Why we chose it: What a powerhouse combination of Napa Valley standouts we have here! This wine is made under the stewardship of Christian Moueix and is sourced from the historic Napanook Vineyard at the foot of the Mayacamas Mountains in Yountville, a vineyard first planted in 1836. Made from 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine got 96 points from James Suckling, who noted that it’s approachable right now or great for cellaring.

bottle of 2017 Covalli Barolo

2017 Covalli Barolo, $26

Why we chose it: This is a nice and compact expression of Nebbiolo from Piedmont’s Barolo region, with lots of red cherry and cranberry, a bit of cedar smoke, and a hint of rose petal. It’s made in the traditional style, employing very large oak casks, and like many newer expressions of Barolo can be enjoyed right away.

bottle of 2018 Domaine du Grand Tinel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

2018 Domaine du Grand Tinel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc, $50

Why we chose it: While the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation is understandably best known for red wines, the white wines from the region can also be deeply enjoyable and rewarding. Like the reds, they’re often blends of a number of different varieties, in this case largely Grenache Blanc with some Clairette, Roussanne, and Bourboulenc. Befitting its stature, this wine was given 97 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards.

bottle of 2018 Famille Lardet Moulin-a-Vent Le Nid

2018 Famille Lardet Moulin-a-Vent Le Nid, $29

Why we chose it: Extolling the virtues of well-made Beaujolais never gets tiring, as freshness, fruit purity, and earthiness abound in these wines. Made from Gamay Noir just south of Burgundy, they’re fantastic bottles for the summer, especially lightly chilled, but they can also hold their own at the holiday table or really anywhere.

bottle of 2019 Durigutti Cabernet Franc Clasico

2019 Durigutti Cabernet Franc Clasico, $16.99

Why we chose it: Hailing from the Mendoza region of Argentina and made by Héctor and Pablo Durigutti, two of Argentina’s most respected consulting enologists, this is a well styled Cabernet Franc, with a tasty mix of black cherry, currant, and a hint of berry fruits, along with chocolate, vanilla, and baking spice. It’s well priced and ready to enjoy almost any night of the week, from a casual dinner to a celebratory meal with friends.

bottle of 2015 Conti Costanti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

2015 Conti Costanti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, $175

Why we chose it: Like many Tuscan families, the Constanti family has been producing wine for centuries, including being among the first to use the name “Brunello” on their wines. Now Andrea Constanti, along with winemaker Vittorio Fiore, produce some of the finest expressions of this iconic region, mixing traditional techniques with just a few modern flourishes. The critics agreed, with Wine Enthusiast awarding this bottle 98 points.

bottle of 2019 La Grand Comtadine Gigondas

2019 La Grand Comtadine Gigondas, $35

Why we chose it: Gigondas, in France’s southern Rhone Valley, doesn’t quite get the same attention as nearby Châteauneuf-du-Pape, despite having comparable growing conditions and a similar mix of varieties, leaning heavily on Grenache with Syrah and a small portion of Mourvèdre to round things out. This wine earned 95 points and an Editor’s Choice from Wine Enthusiast.

Where to get it: Wine Access, available June 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. ET until sold out

bottle of 2010 En Tirage Recently Disgorged Blanc de Blancs

2010 En Tirage Recently Disgorged Blanc de Blancs, $49

Why we chose it: Look, how often do you get to enjoy wines like this — made in tiny quantities by one person, and then aged for over a decade before being released? Winemaker Don Baumhefner is passionate about ensuring that his wines only be sold at their optimal stage of development, and in this case he sourced the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Beckstoffer Las Amigas vineyard in Carneros, rested it on lees for over a decade, and is now selling it at its peak.

Where to get it: SommSelect, available June 11, 2022 at 9:45 a.m. PT until sold out
