Each Monday, we publish a round-up of the most compelling flash sales offers for the coming week. Given the diversity of our audience across all ages, preferences, and budgets, know that some of these bottles might not quite float your boat, or might not be the right price. But all of our choices represent genuine value and hard-to-match opportunities in their own categories.

This week, we’ve got a great wine for those who love the idea of drinking properly-aged classic wine but loathe the notion of having to actually, you know, age wine themselves: the 2012 Salvatore Molettieri Cinque Querce Taurasi Riserva. We’re also excited about the 2018 Château Léoville Poyferré Saint-Julien, a cellar addition that’s sure to appreciate in value (and deliciousness) over the next decade. Beyond that, we’ve got great everyday bottles as well as a bit of Oregon history.

Keep an eye out each week for our top picks.

2012 Salvatore Molettieri Cinque Querce Taurasi Riserva, $60

The wines of Taurasi rely on one of Italy’s greatest and yet still-underappreciated red grapes, Aglianico, and they can deliver a complex, layered wine with a mix of dark and red fruits, aromas of smoke and hot earth, and even hints of red flowers. Salvatore Molettieri is one of the pre-eminent producers in this subregion of Campania, and this bottle can be enjoyed right away or cellared for years to come.

Jim Arterberry Maresh is one of the first third-generation people in the Oregon wine industry, following in the footsteps of his late father Fred Arterberry in centering his winery around his grandparents’ farm in the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley, the fifth-oldest vineyard in the entire state, showcasing the classic red cherry and dried leaf notes of the appellation.

2018 Château Léoville Poyferré Saint-Julien, $145

If you can manage to wait a decade or so, you’ll be well-rewarded.

Where to get it: Wine Access, available Feb. 5, 2022 at 10 a.m. ET until sold out
