Brazil is the third largest producer of South American wine, just behind Chile and Argentina. The country is home to over 200,000 acres of vines, much of which is cultivated for table grape production. The majority of Brazil’s wine viticulture takes place in the southern portion of the country, centered around the Rio Grande do Sul region. Here, vines are grown at higher altitudes and in cooler climate conditions, preserving freshness in the grapes.
