Felicity Carter Joins Pix As Executive Editor

Led by publishing veterans Erica Duecy and Felicity Carter, the publication offers accessible, actionable content

Napa, CA — Pix, the wine discovery platform set to launch in Spring 2021, has appointed Felicity Carter as Executive Editor.

With experience in the international wine market, Felicity will develop content for the site, to ensure that Pix achieves its mission to connect users to the right bottle, with the fewest clicks.

“Joining the Pix team at a key moment in the wine industry’s digital transformation is a fantastic opportunity,” said Felicity Carter. “I’m particularly looking forward to working with Chief Content Officer Erica Duecy, who is a digital star in wine editorial.”

“The wine industry has long needed a new approach to buying and selling wine online. Our vision is to connect consumers and sellers seamlessly, without inserting ourselves in the transaction,” said Paul Mabray, CEO of Pix. “To succeed where so many have failed, we’ve recruited wine tech experts with a shared vision to make this dream a reality. We are excited to add Felicity, who is known for her innovative thinking and high editorial standards.”

Felicity joins a star team that not only includes Erica Duecy, but also Sales Director Jay Spaleta, formerly of Wine Enthusiast, and award-winning writer Meg Maker, as Content Project Manager.

Felicity built a strong reputation in her 13 years as Editor-in-Chief of Meininger’s Wine Business International, which she drove to become Europe’s most widely read and respected wine trade magazine, with subscribers in more than 30 countries.

Previously, the Australian native was a Sydney-based journalist who wrote for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age newspapers. She also contributed Australian wine news to the Decanter news service and was a regular contributor to Delicious magazine, among other publications. Felicity began her writing career as an advertising copywriter in a blue-chip Sydney agency, creating advertising for clients such as MasterCard, Qantas, and Fuji Xerox.
