Prosecco is a popular sparkling wine, and for good reason.  It offers a range of expressions, from extra brut to off dry, and bursts with citrus, green apple, and honeysuckle notes. Prosecco hails from north eastern Italy, and is made using the Glera grape and the Charmat method of carbonation, where the secondary fermentation takes place in a pressurized tank.  This is different from - and less expensive than - the Champagne method, where secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle itself. This makes Prosecco a good value bubbly.
